How monthly works

What changes when you rent by the month.

Almost everything about a monthly rental is the same as a daily one. These are the parts that are not.

The rate: Far below 30 daily ratesNobody pays thirty times the day rate for a month. Tell us the car and the length and we will quote the monthly figure.
Kilometres: 200 km a day still appliesOver a month that is a generous allowance for most people. If you drive more than that regularly, say so and we will price it properly rather than surprise you later.
Security deposit: ₹5,000 to ₹25,000+The same as any rental: ₹5,000 on a small car, ₹10,000 on a large one, ₹25,000 upwards on the premium 4×4s. Back on the spot when you hand the car over at the end.
Servicing: OursThe car is ours, so its service, insurance and paperwork are our problem. That is most of the point of renting rather than buying.
Fuel: On youReturn the car at the fuel level it left at, same as any rental.
Who can drive: 21 and overValid original Indian licence and Aadhaar. Approval is once, not monthly.

Monthly, daily or buy

When a month is the right answer.

It is not always. Here is the honest split, including the cases where you should not rent from us at all.

Rent monthly if: You’re here 1–12 monthsA posting, a project, a long visit. You get a car without buying one and without a loan against your name.
Rent monthly if: You’re new to the cityRegistering and insuring a car in a state you have just moved to is weeks of work. This is same-week.
Rent monthly if: Your own car is off the roadAn accident repair or a long service. A month covers it without a hire-car argument with an insurer.
Rent daily instead if: It’s under two weeksBelow that the monthly rate stops being the cheaper option. Take a daily rental.
Buy instead if: You’re staying for yearsWe will say so. Over two or three years, ownership wins and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

FAQ

Common questions about monthly rental.

How much does a car cost per month in Chandigarh?

It depends entirely on the car, and the range is wide: our fleet runs from a ₹1,200-a-day S-Presso to a ₹45,000-a-day Defender. The monthly rate is far below thirty day rates on every one of them. Tell us the car and how long and you will have the number in minutes.

What is the minimum period?

Thirty days for the monthly rate. Below that a daily rental is usually cheaper anyway, and we will tell you which way round it falls for your dates.

Can I extend part-way through?

Yes, as long as the car has not been promised to someone else. Tell us as early as you can — a week's notice is usually enough, a day's notice sometimes is not.

Who pays for servicing and insurance?

We do. The car is ours, so its service schedule, insurance and paperwork are our responsibility. You put fuel in it and drive it.

Is the kilometre limit still 200 a day?

Yes. Over a month that suits most people comfortably. If your commute is long, tell us before you book and we will price the extra properly rather than bill you for it at the end.

Can I swap the car during the month?

Ask. It depends what else is out at the time. If you think a small car might not be enough, it is much easier to sort that out before the month starts.
